Pride Day!

This Week — July 9, 2023

This Sunday is Pride Day at the Market! The Town of Brighton is hosting a special celebration to honor and support the LGBTQ+ members of our community — vendors, customers, and guests. Please join us at 9:30 am for a short ceremony to celebrate Pride. Brighton Farmers’ Market is enriched by the diversity evident at our Market; all are welcome this Sunday and throughout the year. Happy Pride!

Please note: a major construction project is happening in front of Brighton High School during the summer. The market’s food trucks will set up in the parking area parallel to and right next to Winton. The parking spaces in those areas will not be available for market parking, but there is plenty of parking in the rear of the parking lot, behind the facilities building, and in the area by the Presbyterian Church closest to the school. Please do not park on the grass along the entrance to the parking lot. Parking is also available at Twelve Corners Middle School and the BCSD Administration Building on Monroe, just a short walk from the Market across the athletic fields. We’ll adapt!

Music at the Market

We welcome the Debbie Kendrick Project to the music tent.

Community Groups

Members of the Town’s Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Advisory Board (IDEA) will offer information about the Town’s efforts to promote inclusion and diversity in its policies. Also, Councilmember on Your Corner returns: members of the Brighton Town Board will offer information and answer questions about issues relating to the Town.

Information on physics, space, and the eclipse will be offered by representatives from the U of R Physics and Astronomy Dept. at the Ask a Scientist booth.

Operation Freedom Ride will have information on its animal rescue efforts.

Brighton Food Cupboard

Please consider donating to the Brighton Food Cupboard to help their efforts to support a stronger local food system for all.

EBT/SNAP Bonus Program — new and expanded!

Brighton Farmers’ Market is pleased to offer SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) customers the opportunity to purchase tokens using their SNAP benefits, which can be used to buy SNAP eligible foods at the Market. We’re excited to be able to offer the new expanded FreshConnect bonus program to our SNAP/EBT customers! For every $2 spent in SNAP benefits receive a $2 bonus check, up from $2 for every $5 spent (limit of 25 checks or $50 per customer pe) Stop by the Market tent!
