Arts at the Market — Music Day, May 31
Music Day
This Sunday, May 31, we’re celebrating Arts at the Market — Music Day, sponsored by Friends of the Arts in Brighton. We’ll be joined by a number of students in Brighton Central School District music programs, including a cappella groups, a show choir that sings and dances, a band that plays 60s music, a singer who plays classical guitar, and other individual and small group vocal and instrumental performers. There will be a cake-cutting to mark the six years in a row that Brighton has been voted a Best Community for Music Education — congratulations Brighton and our student musicians!

Why Support Brighton Farmers’ Market?
Thanks to a friend of Brighton Farmers’ Market, who sent us the following reminder:
A core objective of the Brighton Farmers Market is to promote local and sustainable agriculture.
This is a “pay it forward” enterprise!
Up-front costs of sustainably and locally-produced agricultural products may be higher, but long-term costs associated with many non-local commercial products include: environmental degradation (air, water, and soil), excessive use of fossil fuels, and poor labor practices.
Thank you for supporting your local farmers!
See you Sunday!
