Open for Public Safety Day

The Road is Open to the Market!

If you come to Brighton Farmers’ Market from Elmwood Ave., you may be alarmed to see the big “Road Closed” signs on S. Winton Road; the county is replacing a culvert that runs under the road. But the Market is open! Just follow the detour signs — from Elmwood turn south on Monroe (toward Pittsford), turn right on Edgewood, right on Westfall, and right on S. Winton, which is open to local traffic, including the Market. A map of the detour is here. A separate, easy detour route is posted for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Public Safety Day

This week is our annual Public Safety Day. Staff from the Brighton Fire Department, Brighton Police Department, and Brighton Volunteer Ambulance join us to offer demonstrations of their equipment, safety tips, and handouts for the kids. It’s a great opportunity to thank the individuals who help keep our community safe.
