Summer Market Opens Soon!

The summer season of Brighton Farmers’ Market opens on May 14. We’ll return to the Brighton High School parking lot, 1150 Winton Road S., Rochester Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm. The winter Market continues through May 7.

This Week at the Market – April 30, 2017

Spring’s tastiest, first gifts are arriving at Brighton Farmers’ Market this week. Lakestone Family Farm will have a limited quantity of certified organic asparagus, plus eggs, whole frozen chicken (buy one get one half price), and spring garlic. Fisher Hill Farm will also have asparagus, along with fresh chicken, spring mix, roots, apples, eggs, and Red Jacket juices. Clearview Farm will have ramps and is offering a special — get a free bunch of ramps with a purchase of at least two dozen eggs. Kurt will also have certified organic green onions, sunchokes, dry beans, dried herbs, dried peppers, and organically-fed 100% grass-fed Angus beef.

Buzz’s Garden is bringing radishes, arugula, spinach, lettuce baskets, lettuce mix, microgreens, and potted herbs and vegetables for the garden. Happy Hooves Organic Farm will have assorted cuts of organic 100% grass fed and grass finished beef, organic pasture-raised pork fed no soy and no corn, raw wildflower honey, and organic eggs from the farm’s free ranging hens.

Bolton Farms is bringing lettuces, kale, spinach, Swiss chard, parsley, watercress, arugula, escarole, and microgreens. Andy’s Specialty Garlic & Produce will have certified organic salad mix, spinach, pea shoots, red beets, daikon radishes, sweet potatoes, chives, and garlic powder.

Stonecrop Farm is bringing a full selection of pasture raised pork cuts, whole ducks and certified organic chicken eggs. Bristol Mushrooms will have certified organic fresh shiitakes and lion’s  mane mushrooms.

Shannon Brook Farm is featuring organically-fed, pasture raised pork spare ribs. Smugtown Mushrooms is bringing fresh oyster, shiitake, and king trumpet mushrooms, plus kombucha kits, mushroom grow kits, and medicinal mushroom extracts.

Fellenz Family Farm will have certified organic rutabaga, kale, spinach, sunflower shoots, pea shoots, scallions, baby leeks, mizuna, komatsuna, broccoli raab, radishes, herb transplants, flowers, as well as Wild Thistle herbal products and honey. Growing Family Farms will have certified organic spinach, Asian greens, scallions, Swiss chard, pea shoots, sunnies, duck and chicken eggs, stew hens, broilers, raw wild flower honey, potted herbs, wheat grass, Singer Farm Naturals tart cherry juice, and Small World products.

Tripleberry Farm is bringing pesticide-free jams and moisturizing goat milk soaps. Lavender Moon will have herbal soaps, salves, and lotions, along with plenty of gifts as Mother’s Day approaches.

Wohlschlegel’s Naples Maple Farm is bringing pure NYS maple syrup (golden, amber, dark, and very dark), maple cream spread, granulated maple sugar, maple garlic rub, maple mustard, maple coffee, maple tea, wheat free oatmeal maple dog treats, soft and hard sugar shapes, and body care products — maple vanilla soap, lotion, and lip balm. Brian’s Kitchen will have cookies and fudge.
