Winter Market Opens!



This Week at the Market – December 1, 2019

The Brighton Winter Farmers’ Market opens this Sunday, December 1! Please join us this Sunday and all winter long, as each week farmers and producers bring us a bounty of all-local product. The Winter Market is held Sunday afternoons 1 to 4 pm, inside Brighton’s Brookside Center, 220 Idlewood Rd., Rochester, with a second entrance to the building just off S. Winton between Westfall and 590.

This week Fellenz Family Farm is bringing certified organic lettuce, kale, potatoes, onions, celeriac, kohlrabi, sweet turnips, rutabaga, Brussels sprouts, and black garlic, plus tea blends and Wild Thistle herbal products. Stonecrop Farm will have pasture-raised pork sausage, deli ham, trotters, soup bones, organ meats, and rendered lard.

Andy’s Specialty Produce is bringing certified organic salad mix, spinach, sweet potatoes, carrots, napa cabbage, green cabbage, red and yellow potatoes, red beets, green kale, celery, garlic, and yellow onions. Bolton Farms will have spring mix, lettuce bouquets, bibb lettuce, mustard greens, micro greens, dandelion greens, parsley, and winter squash. 

Wohlschlegel’s Naples Maple Farm is bringing bourbon barrel aged maple syrup, maple mustard; maple BBQ sauce; maple cotton candy; maple coated almonds, cashews, and pecans; traditional, cinnamon, and raspberry maple cream spread; pure NYS maple syrup in flavors golden, amber, dark, and very dark; granulated maple sugar; maple garlic rub; maple coffee and tea; wheat-free oatmeal maple dog treats; soft and hard sugar shapes; and body-care products — maple vanilla soap, lotion, and lip balm.

Trademarks Flower Farm will have rare varieties of potted amaryllis and paperwhites, as well as amaryllis and paperwhite forcing kits, dahlia tubers, seed packets, fall harvested honey, evergreen wreaths and swags. Newbury Park Pastries will have lemon ginger, strawberry, and blueberry lavender shrubs. 

Lavender Moon will have ordered natural wreaths and will take orders for wreaths. Impact Earth will have the full line of zero waste lifestyle reusable wares plus sign-ups for organics drop-off service.  A special thanks to Impact Earth for providing zero waste services at Brighton Farmers’ Market each Sunday.
