This little guy was a welcome visitor at Brighton Farmers’ Market, hitching a ride on hydroponic parsley from Bolton Farms. John Bolton and his team release thousands of ladybugs in the farm’s greenhouses to control unwelcome pests. This week John is bringing lettuce bouquets, arugula, spring mix, bibb lettuce, cilantro, parsley, escarole, dandelion greens, micro greens, pea shoots, and butternut squash. 

Stonecrop Farm will have pasture-raised heritage breed pork chops, loin rib roasts, shoulder roasts, shoulder steaks, tenderloin, spare ribs, kabob meat, Italian sausage (hot and mild), breakfast sausage, ground pork, deli ham, ham steaks, smoked bacon, smoked hocks, fat, bones, organ meats, and rendered lard. Fellenz Family Farm is bringing certified organic potatoes, kohlrabi, celeriac, rutabaga, apples, daikon radish, lettuce, kale, and dried herbs, plus Wild Thistle herbal products.

Shannon Brook Farm is bringing certified organic, pasture-raised, heritage breed pork: no-nitrate smoked hams and ham slices, hocks, shoulder roasts, boneless loin roasts, spare ribs, country-style ribs, four types of no-nitrate bacon, ground, chops, six types of sausage, soup bones, organs, and leaf lard; grass-fed lamb raised on organic pastures: shoulder and leg roasts, ground, shanks, loin, rib, leg and neck chops, rack, short ribs, organs, soup bones, and tallow; certified organic, free-range poultry: whole pekin ducks, duck necks and feet, whole and half broiler chickens, certified organic stew hens, and certified organic, free-range chicken eggs; and tanned sheep fleeces.

Andy’s Specialty Produce is bringing certified organic salad mix, spinach, pea shoots, sunflower shoots, sweet potatoes, carrots, napa cabbage, green cabbage, red potatoes, red beets, garlic, and yellow onions. Happy Hooves Farm is bringing pork chops and steaks, shoulder and loin roasts, sliced pork belly, fresh ham steaks, spare ribs, sausages, and ground pork from pasture-raised pigs; beef short ribs, meaty soup bones, ground beef, boneless rib steaks, brisket, broth bones, and more from 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef cows; some stewing hens; and raw honey; all animals are raised outside on pasture with organic feed containing no corn, no soy, and no wheat, except cows which only eat grass.

Bristol Mushrooms will have fresh-picked king oyster and lion’s mane mushrooms, certified organic, dried lion’s mane mushrooms, and Brain Booster powder, coffee, and tea. Clearview Farm is bringing truly free-range eggs; 100% grass-grown (no grain) Angus beef steaks, roasts, ground beef, and miscellaneous cuts; dried dill and lemon basil; nettle tea and tulsi tea; hot peppers; and Genesee Valley dry beans (black, cannellini, and red kidney).

Wohlschlegel’s Naples Maple Farm is bringing bourbon barrel aged maple syrup, maple mustard; maple BBQ sauce; maple cotton candy; maple coated almonds, cashews, and pecans; traditional, cinnamon, and raspberry maple cream spread; pure NYS maple syrup in flavors golden, amber, dark, and very dark; granulated maple sugar; maple garlic rub; maple coffee and tea; wheat-free oatmeal maple dog treats; soft and hard sugar shapes; and body-care products — maple vanilla soap, lotion, and lip balm.

Newbury Park Pastries will have pulled pork, chicken, veggie, shepherds, and panang, pot pies, along with cut-out cookies, rugelach, and strawberry cheesecake tarts. Fruition Seeds will have a selection of certified organic seeds for garden planning.

Lavender Moon will have herbal products including soaps, salves, lotions, teas, culinary blends, and flavored fair trade cocoa mixes. Tripleberry Farm is bringing pesticide-free frozen blueberries, pesticide-free berry jams, and peach jams.
