This Week at the Market

This Week at the Market – February 17, 2019

At Brighton Farmers’ Market we’ve been pleased to offer our SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) customers the ability to purchase good Market food with tokens bought with SNAP benefits. Our system has been down for several weeks, but we are happy to report that it is now up and running, and SNAP customers can once again purchase tokens at the Market. We’re also pleased to report that the FreshConnect Check bonus program has been renewed for 2019 — for every $5 in tokens purchased with SNAP benefits a customer will receive a $2 Fresh Connect Check to purchase eligible Market food.

This week Lakestone Family Farm will have frozen whole chickens, chicken pieces, stewing hens, and soup bones, plus four varieties of potatoes and beets. Stonecrop Farm is bringing fresh cuts of pasture-raised pork, including chops, shoulder roast, steaks, spare ribs, sausage, ground pork, smoked bacon, deli ham, hocks, bones, organ meats, and jars of rendered lard.
