This Week — November 22, 2020

Happy Thanksgiving! And we are thankful — to our farmers and producers and to our loyal community of customers who have supported the Market during this turbulent year. This Sunday is our final market of the regular season. Next week, November 29,  we will switch to our winter schedule — we will remain outside at Brighton High School through December 20 but with reduced hours of 10 to 11:30 am. We will close during January and February and will post plans for re-opening in 2021 on Facebook, Instagram, and at this website when plans have been finalized. We will not be holding an indoor market at Brookside as of now.

As COVID cases rise in our area, we are stressing the importance of the safety measures that must be followed at Brighton Farmers’ Market. Farmers’ markets are designated essential businesses by New York State, and we know how important it to be able to provide our community with the Market’s all-local foods, especially now. Please help us keep our Market as safe as possible for all customers and vendors by following the safety measures below:

  • During the remainder of the regular season, the first hour, 9-10, is reserved for seniors, vulnerable individuals, and those who have pre-ordered.
  • Please send one person per family when possible, and leave quickly when done.
  • Please leave dogs at home.
  • Masks are required.
  • Please remember to keep distance from others

  • Social distancing must be maintained — six feet between individuals. We will space tents as far apart as possible.
  • Vendors will maintain safe spaces — surfaces wiped with disinfectant spray, and hand sanitizer will be available at every booth.
  • Vendors should have safeguards in place to ensure that customers not touch product, and to ensure that customers do not place any personal objects, such as bags, money, purses or cell phones, on vendor tables. Customers and vendors must stay home if sick.
  • These Market Rules will be attached and incorporated in the Brighton Farmers Market Health Safety Plan, a copy of which will be on the Market premises while the Market is open.

See you Sunday!
