Growing Practices
“We strive to be sustainable and use minimal plastics in our systems. We use no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides and prioritize an ecological approach to farming. This season we are investing in biodegradable plant-based sheet mulch as well as incorporating living cover crops between crop rows for weed control. We are currently working with Cornell’s entomology program to design an Integrated Pest Management plan. We work with a trained agronomist to create an organic fertility plan based around soil analysis. All baked goods are made from scratch using organic ingredients.”
