Just two more weeks of the regular season of Brighton Farmers’ Market! Next Sunday, November 18, is the final outdoor Market; the winter Market opens November 25. Please join us this week and next to stock up for Thanksgiving! The winter Market will be held indoors at Brookside Center, 220 Idlewood Rd., Rochester, with easy access from S. Winton Rd. between Westfall and 590.

This Sunday Fellenz Family Farm is bringing potatoes (ADK Red and Blue, Lehigh, and Red Maria), onions (sweet, yellow, and red), kale (Siberian, Russian, and Dino), salad mix, arugula, apples (Enterprise, Gold Rush, and Snap Stayman), and Wild Thistle Herbal products. Andy’s Specialty Produce is bringing certified organic carrots, spinach, sweet potatoes, salad mix, arugula, kale, green romaine and red leaf lettuce, yellow onions, red beets, green summer cabbage, purple cabbage, napa cabbage, red radishes, salad turnips, red and yellow potatoes, and pea shoots.

Growing Family Farms will have certified organic salad mix, arugula, baby kale, Tuscan kale, baby purple kohlrabi, French breakfast radishes, watermelon radishes, petite fennel, pea shoots, fresh carrots, Romano beans, tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, delicata squash, buttercup squash, and Singer Farm Naturals tart cherry juice. Bristol Mushrooms is bringing king oyster and lion’s mane mushrooms, fresh picked and certified organic, and new Brain Booster Lion’s Mane coffee.

Bolton Farms will have lettuce bouquets, spring, mix, bibb lettuce, arugula, bok choi, parsley, micro greens, and winter squash. Stonecrop Farm is bringing whole organic chickens and eggs, as well as pasture-raised pork chops, shoulder roasts, sausage, ground pork, bacon, hocks, trotters, organ meats, and leaf fat.

K&S Bischoping will have several varieties of apples including Honey Crisp, Jonagold, Gold Delicious, Empire, Gala, Crispin, Sun Fuji, Granny Smith, and Stayman Winesap, plus a good selection of heirlooms including Gold Russet. Happy Hooves Organic Farm is bringing cuts of 100% grass-fed and grass-finished Hereford beef, cuts of pasture-raised heritage breed pork including some from American Guinea hogs, great big roaster chickens with giblets and half chickens from the pastured Freedom Ranger flock, and raw wildflower honey; all animals are raised on pasture without soy, corn, or wheat.

Shannon Brook Farm is featuring grass-fed lamb short ribs, lamb loin chops, and ground lamb and recommends this recipe for lamb loin chops. Clearview Farm is bringing certified organic green acorn, carnival and red Kuri winter squash; red Swiss chard; Tulsi (holy) basil; dill; catnip; spearmint; truly free-range eggs; buckwheat; organically fed 100% grass-grown Black Angus beef including steaks, roasts, ground beef, and assorted cuts; and Genesee Valley dry black and cannellini beans.

Tripleberry Farm is bringing lots of pesticide-free jams, several different fudge flavors for gifts, and the full variety of moisturizing goat milk soaps. RocBucha is bringing bottled kombucha in apple-cinnamon, blueberry-mint, strawberry-basil, ginger, and pineapple-ginger; on tap will be cranberry-spice, pumpkin-clove, and blueberry-mint.

Pasta Classics will have ravioli flavors butternut squash, roasted red pepper & goat cheese, and meatball, plus cheese gnocchi and a wide variety of strombolis. Newbury Park Pastries is bringing chicken, veggie, shepherds, panang, turkey dinner, beef stew, and Philly cheesesteak pot pies.

Impact Earth is offering a food waste and compostable wares hauling service at the Market; pick up a bucket and pay a deposit, return your filled bucket next week, and pick up a clean new bucket. Thanks to Impact Earth for collecting trash and recycling at the Market each week to promote our efforts to be a zero-waste Market.
